During the past several months the challenges facing America’s auto industry have been well-document ed. Bankruptcy in our industry is not a desired outcome and we believe a healthy American auto industry must have several strong, innovative, domestic companies that compete on a level playing field. There is no doubt that our economy is facing the most challenging situation in a generation or more. We all know someone or some business that has been affected by these tough economic times. This summer the new 2010 Taurus and 2010 Flex will be powered by Ford’s Eco-Boost engines which provide the power of a V8 with the gas-sipping efficiency of a V6. The 2009 F150 Pickup is Motor Trends Truck of the Yea r and F150 is the bestselling vehicle on the market today and the best-selling truck line for 32 straight years.

Ford’s lineup is also winning high marks from the experts at USA Today, Motor Trend, J. D. Power, Consumers Union and others. As a matter of fact, recent reports rank the quality of Ford Motor Company vehicles equal t o or better than the best foreign or domestic manufacturers.

The leaders of Ford in Detroit and the factory workers across the country know this is an important time for the future of the company.
