JASPER, Ind. – Three members of Ruxer Ford Lincoln’s staff earned high-level Employee Excellence Awards again this year from Ford Motor Company.
Sales Consultant Ron Otto, Service Manager Keith Knies and Internet Sales Manager Jake Bower each received Level 3 Employee Excellence Awards from Ford, which recognizes top service and sales performers annually nationwide. The three Ruxer recipients have earned the award multiple times.
The number one measured factor for achieving Ford’s Level 3 certification is customer satisfaction. Ford employees who reach Level 3 also must distinguish themselves as a leader among their peers; achieve a strong record of success in their work; and demonstrate the desire to continue improving their job performance.
“We have so many excellent employees who’ve built long-lasting relationships with customers who come back to Ruxer for years,” Doug Abbett comments. “It’s the service and workmanship they consistently give – Ruxer’s greatest assets. We’re proud of all our employees’ accomplishments.”
About Ruxer Ford Lincoln – Founded by Jacob Ruxer in 1921, Ruxer Ford Lincoln in Jasper, Indiana, provides sales, maintenance, repair, parts and body shop services for new and pre-owned cars, crossovers, SUVs, fleet vehicles and heavy trucks.

“The Ruxer dealership has exemplified Ford’s slogan of ‘We’re Friends, We’re Family, We’re Ford’ for years. The deals are the best around, and the service is extraordinary. I have purchased a number of cars from Ruxer and would not consider any other dealership. The friends I have referred there get the same good deals & treatment that a longtime customer such as myself is given. Give them a try; you won’t be disappointed!!”

“We have purchased two Ford Fusions within the past two weeks. My husband Bryan and I have bought many Fords but never has it been as “fun” as it was with Jake Bower. All the tension and nerves that usually go along with purchasing and trading cars did not exist while dealing with Jake. He treated me with the utmost respect, listened to what I wanted and never once pushed, forced or intimidated us into making a deal. I would also like to thank Tim and his method of handling the business end of the transaction. Tim was accurate, fast, non-threatening, kind, and did not insist we buy any extra that we did not need. Thank you, Tim.”

As many of you have heard the video of the Jenny sinking after winning the Holy Family Cardboard Boat Regatta was selected by America’s Funniest Home Videos for their October 30th, 2011 show. At this point in time it appears the video is going to make it to the show. But it isn’t set in stone. It is subject to change. Stay tuned to the paper and this site and we will let you know if they are going to get a taste of Jasper on the show. As a crew member of the ill-fated Jenny I look forward to having millions laugh at me. Plus as a dad and this being one of my kid’s favorite shows, I look forward to the moment when the kids will see dear old dad’s ego getting dropped down a notch. I look forward to keeping everyone up to date on this. Who would have thought that a few months ago when we were cutting out cardboard this is where we would end up.
